At Simon Dinh Architects, we believe good design should be accessible, thoughtful and enduring—regardless of budget or scale.

We design homes and spaces around the people who use them, creating environments that are functional, warm and enjoyable to live and work in. Every project is approached with careful attention to how spaces feel, flow and support everyday life.

Our services include:

Feasibility & Briefing
We begin by understanding your goals, budget and requirements, while exploring the opportunities and constraints of the site.

Concept Design
Working closely with you, we develop initial design ideas and layouts that respond to your brief and establish the overall direction of the project.

Design Development
The preferred concept is refined and coordinated with input from consultants, including structural, civil and building services engineers. Material selections and interior design elements are also developed during this stage.

Town Planning / Development Approval
Where required, we prepare and manage planning applications and liaise with local authorities to obtain the necessary approvals.

Construction Documentation & Building Permits
We prepare detailed drawings and specifications that allow builders to accurately price and construct the project, while also supporting the building permit process.

Tendering & Builder Selection
We assist with obtaining and reviewing builder pricing, answering queries during the tender process and helping you select the most suitable contractor.

Contract Administration
During construction, we act as your advocate, helping ensure the works are delivered in accordance with the approved documentation and reviewing builder claims and variations throughout the build.

OUR EXPERIENCE:

Simon Dinh is the founder and director of Simon Dinh Architects.

Having worked across Australia, Europe and Japan, Simon brings experience from a range of internationally recognised design practices, including Kohn Pedersen Fox in London, Branch Studio Architects in Melbourne and Shigeru Ban Architects in Tokyo. He studied architecture at both TU Delft in the Netherlands and The University of Melbourne.

Over the course of his career, Simon has contributed to projects of many different scales, from large urban developments and high-rise towers to cultural buildings, schools and bespoke residential projects. This breadth of experience allows him to move comfortably between big-picture thinking and the finer details that shape everyday experiences.

Simon believes great architecture is not defined by a particular style, but by how well it responds to the people who use it. His work focuses on creating thoughtful, practical and enduring spaces that balance functionality, character and delight.

Whether designing a workplace, home or larger development, Simon approaches each project with curiosity, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes for clients and communities alike.
